Guest guest
The Desktop Consultant: The Rehab Department's Guide to JCAHO, by Angie , published by Images and Associates is a very good reference. If you do a Google search you will find it. If you order the 2005 version, they should include a 2006 update with it. Hope this helps! Guest guest
JCAHO standards are written for the organization as a whole, not for departments. They will likely focus on competency issues (including licensure), as well as facility life/safety if you have services outside of the hospital building. Your staff need to be able to answer to all the standards when the inspectors do their tracers. Communication between disciplines and discharge planning are likely to fall into the Rehab arena.
