i was concerned that it had high PUFA levels? i assume it does because

it is a seed oil? i will do more research and see what i can find out.

I can't speak to the PUFAs, but I can tell you that jojoba oil is the second

best penetrating oil there is. Emu is the best. I love jojoba because it

really soaks in and doesn't leave me feeling greasy. I used it as a carrier

oil for essential oils on myself and my horses.

Are topical oils really a PUFA concern?

The profile you listed doesn't seem that bad. They note it is more

stable than most oils, but less so than coconut and I think olive, but

coconut oil is extremely low-PUFA and olive oil is not that bad. So,

I would go with whatever seems to make your skin come out best.

yeah, i really like it, too. it is really dry here in colorado and it

works well to use it in the shower. then i use mostly coconut oil

during the day if i need it.

interestingly enough, a massage therapist i know in CA switched to

using a fractionated (i believe this is the form, but would have to

check. it's liquid all the time) coconut oil instead of the veggie/nut

based oils she was using because she had read some research that

suggested that massage practioners had higher than normal incidence of

heart disease because of using these oils. it would be interesting to

see those studies because it doesn't sound like that is a study that

would make it mainstream or at least those findings anyhow. anyhow,

she doesn't eat WAP, but she now uses this coconut oil. Now I am

wondering, though, if in fractionated form, it is unhealthy. i will

have to check into how the company makes that coconut oil.

thanks, too for your insight on the oil based on what you read

on at the Wikipedia link.
