Mike, do you eat mainly fresh raw sea food or frozen? Have you had any problems getting sick from eating raw seafood? And do you eat it plain or mixed with other foods or sauces? I have had food poisoning twice, once from raw salmon, and once from raw oysters, I had diarrhea for about a month with the oysters. I don't worry about it too much these days, I have my healing clays now, and they stop the problem. I eat the seafood by itself, and with other things. I like to get a few small blue crabs, or one big crab, and eat it live and raw, by itself. I also enjoy eating raw shrimp with fish eggs and coconut oil. I sometimes have ceviche, sometimes at home, but usually at Mexican restaurants. mike

From what I've read, these foods should stop bacterial induced diarrhea also. I know from personal experience that even freezing and cooking doesn't always destroy toxins in seafood. Many years ago I got very sick from eating some frozen shrimp that I cooked at home. I suspect that it was a lingering toxin produced by bacteria in decaying shellfish that I've read about, but forget the name. Even though the bacteria were killed by freezing and cooking, the toxin remained unaffected. I can see how the clays would be effective against toxins, whereas probiotics would have no effect. Here's a link that describes a variety of shellfish toxins: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~mow/chap37.html

Also, occasionally I let my meat/fish/organ meats get down the road to rotten before I eat them. I consider this fermented. mike
