I did not do the walking on the treadmill yet. Today I did more isometric

exercises, since I was going to do themn yesterday, but I still had a sore

case of DOMs. So instead of exercising isometrically every three days I

decided to wait another day extra. DOMS is delayed onset muscle soreness,

which happens if one stresses their muscles enough during a good workout.

When the musscle sorness goes away after two or trhree days, then it is time

to stress the muscles once again in order to gain strength. If one does a

hard workout before the DOMS goes away, then one will become weaker and

cause the muscles to get weaker with frequent over stress. This is the

reason for that saying, " no pain, no gain " . After a hard workout today, I

had to rest and sleep for three hours, and frankly I got rather exhausted

from the exercise. Here are today's results:

pushups total of 75 with three sets of 25.

situps total 87 with three sets of 30, 30, 27.

After the three hour rest my BP was 143/74

pulse was 84

Hopefully, I will be able to bring down that high systolic pressure soon

with exercise. If not, I may have to resort to a diuretic of some kind.

Dear Harry,

I admire your determination and systematic approach at lowering your blood

pressure. The quantity of your sit ups and push ups floored me!

Please keep posting your progress. It inspires me and I'm rooting for you...as

for all of us.

Always with love,

Estelnalissi
