Hi Sally,

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any vestibular rehab technique that helps

with tinnitus. However, I can post your email to the neuroPT listserve and

ask anyone with ideas to reply directly to you. Let me know if you would

like me to do that.

Sally,

I have not had any luck clinically with a procedure to address

Tinnitus. I too have constant tinnitus in my left ear and have not

found anything that relieves the symptoms. I have heard of others using

Niacin to decrease symptoms with minimal success.

Hi, I am a SLP consultant with a husband who had frontal lobe

contusions in

Dec. He has 2 law degrees & worked at the White House & diplomatic

corps. We

are getting great txs at National Rehab Hospital & Walter where

he just

ordered new hearing aides. Rt hearing dropped 25 dB after injury. His

tinnitus is so bad it is interferring with his return to work 2 hrs a

day at

Raytheon where he is the ethics guy. I am wondering if any of you super

Ots & Pts

who work with pts who has awful vertigo & who do that posture-maneuver

know of

anything that we can try.Could that manuever help? I am about to try

accupuncture and this am a naturpoath told me to put lavender & basil

oil on cotton

ball & insert it. His tinnitus is unilateral. I surely thank you for

any

thoughts or suggestions anyone might have.
