Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for the help & encouragement for my friends who are moving to China for a year or so. They just had a baby in Jan, and the baby had the fever symptoms in its second week. But thankfully, they were able to ride it. Also Thanks for all the helpful insights for the baby, during the flights. The couple really appreciated the help. They are stressed with the busyness in preparation and lack of time, and the info i passed on to them, from this group, was well received. They are planning to leave sometime in March. From what they know, the place they are going to may not have the greatest or nice source of whole foods. They may not necessarily get fresh meat all the time. Also they are told to expect to live off bottled water, and to be careful of food contamination and pollution. They do not have 'whole foods' there. The part of China they are going to, is not the most developed; can look very 'unclean' compared to USA. In light of this, can you recommend what may be very vital/helpful supplements that they can take from here, for 10-12 months (as much as they can fit in their suitcases). Right now, all they can think of is, Bio-Kult Probiotics & Garden of Life CLO(has 5000 IU of Vitamin A). What may be the best ways for them to keep their immune system in optimal condition in sub-optimal conditions there. With much appreciation, -Dan. > > Hi > Anyone with experience of taking a new-born (month or two or so) on a > flight. > > The doctors reco is 6 weeks, but they feel still there is no guarentee > that the child may not catch an infection. > > It is for my frineds who need to travel back to china (long trip!) with > their new-born which is a week old now.
