Hello ,

The lavage hardware is a disposable supply that has no DMERC code and is

not additionally reimbursable. The treatment of pulsed lavage is

reimburseable under the CPT codes for selective debridement 97597 and

97598, which are based on size. The reimbursement for these codes does

include the cost of the supplies.

You may want to investigate the device which has the suction divertor

tip, than you can reuse the gun and only dispose of the tip which is a

significant cost savings.

I have a question regarding the billing and reimbursement of

pulsed-lavage in

the LTC and subacute. I would like input from those who have experience

in

these areas. ie. The billing of the lavage hardware and the

reimbursement per

tx based on the Fee Schedule etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
