Guest guest
Apple Cider Vinegar can help stop the itching. We also use Apis and Ledium homeopathics. 's Homeopathic makes a " Sting " Gel for bug bites that works really well for one of my children. (in FL the land of the giant biting bugs) what do to about bug bites that itch badly Friends, I received a large number of bug bites at a friend's house. They itch very badly. Any recommendations, natural treatments to help itching, etc. Thanks! J
Guest guest
Raw apple cider vinegar (applied topically) helped me with the itch of chigger bites. I've heard hot water compresses will, also, help with itching. There's always oatmeal paste or calamine lotion. -Patty > I received a large number of bug bites at a friend's house. Guest guest
We put tea tree oil on bites topically, and take sodium ascorbate for the histamine reaction. Will try ACV next time! desh ____________________________________________________________ Need cash? Guest guest
you can make a homemade calamine lotion out of green clay and lavendar essential oil. it works great for the itch and draws out the poisons from the bite site.
Guest guest
Dad's " on the farm " remedy was to put cow dung on them, said it would stop the pain of bee stings too. I was too squeamish to try it and he suggested mud, which does help quite a bit with bee stings. I've never tried it on itchy bites, but will next time it happens. Someone (here?) said zapping it with low voltage electricity (like from a battery) will help as well, instantly. For my son who really reacts to mosquitoes, we use the benadryl bite stick to apply it topically. That thing works too, tho I hate to use benadryl; still it keeps them from keeping us up all night when the histamine makes him nauseous and restless. I read the pertussis vaccine can cause histamine sensitivity; evidently they wanted it to. I guess in my son it worked too well. --- In , " Tamara " <all-natural-nut@...> wrote: > > you can make a homemade calamine lotion out of green clay and lavendar > essential oil. it works great for the itch and draws out the poisons > from the bite site. >
Guest guest
I was just reading some antique cookbooks and a number of them recommended placing raw onion on the bites. Guest guest
Easily the best response I've seen by a bug bite is to epsom salt cream/lotion/salve. You can buy it online (as mag sulfite) from maybe Kirkman's, or make it yourself.
Guest guest
I keep a container of bentonite clay mixed up to slap on bug bites. I slap it immediately on a fire ant bite and never had the bite pus up. A few years ago, I had some serious poison ivy and to prevent me from scratching at night, I covered it with clay. If I did scratch, I was scratching off the clay. It healed SO much FASTER because the clay sucks the toxins out.
