Guest guest
I tripped upon him while looking up something completely unrelated - my most interesting " finds " happen that way. Evidently he did predict the Sept. 11 thing, and his grandfather, I think it was, was a fairly respected " prophet " (by people who believe in such things). There are enough interesting stories about the two of them to make them intriguing, at least, tho I can't say I really believe what they say. Boldea did write a very, very good piece on where the church is going wrong ethically that I can look up if you're interested. Then I was disappointed to see him bashing gays because in my mind I link that with the republican's PR campaign to take control of the White House, which I had read about - manipulating the Christian Right to get themselves elected. If he's from God, why is he falling into the political maneuverings of an extremely secular bid for power and wealth by politicians? I'm pretty sure that God has much more pressing issues than homosexuality on His mind. Like us using depleted uranium to sneakily commit genocide in that region, etc. etc. When I hear a prophet saying that we must give fair measure to those who work for us, i.e. in clothing factories, agriculture, etc. maybe then I'll believe him. There's a lot more Biblically relevant issues than homosexuality, imho. Like justice vs. oppression. Or the self-centered hedonism that is becoming a way of life. Let's worry about the gays after there is n o more oppression and torture and genocide and putting mammon and power before Christian love. My views, anyways. > > The Russian Prophet's name is Boldea, his father? > > grandfather? came from Russia and also prophesied. I didn't read through his stuff very thoroughly, but he does kind of remind me of Pat on, who, despite his claims to regularly have conversations with God, I'm not inclined to regard as a prophet.
