I've read here or elsewhere that water can dilute nutrients? I would imagine that the nutritionist is thinking plenty of water will eliminate toxins from the system. She didn't really say. She really doesn't back up anything that she says. Just says do it. As it is, I'm not following her plan that closely anyway. I just don't tell her. But I like being monitored. My insulin was up from 10.1 in October to 18 in January(ref range 1.9- 23), thus putting me at pre-diabetes. I'm fairly sure it was the indiscriminate eating I did in Dec (as well as stress on the job working 68-75 hours a week for 3 weeks straight). Here is the results on the Water Compartments test at about 10:30 AM after having my morning coffee and my smoothie (and a 20 minute " fast walk " at the mall before work): Intracellular Water: 19.5 liters (50.1%) Extracellular Water: 19.4 liters (49.9%) Total Body Water 38.9% I think she said it should be approx 40%? Rhonda definitely NOT telling her about the fats I'm consuming LOL
