Be sure and get a high vitamin cod liver oil that has it's natural vitamins, like Blue Ice from Green Pastures or Dr Ron. > I know some people on here adhere to this way of eating strictly, > however like others I don't have the time or financial resources to > purchase all of the superfoods noted in the book I doubt that very many, if any, on this list are strict adherents to eating totally style and there are many variations anyway. I think the biggest and easiest thing to do is to minimize or eliminate factory processed and factory farmed foods. Make your meals from produce that is minimally processed, preferably organic, and from wild and/or fully pastured animal foods. If you use dairy, switch to raw dairy. Next would be eliminating intake of refined sugar and minimizing sweet foods in general. If you are overweight, also minimize starchy foods. Don't use fats and oils that are high in omega-6 fats - which is most of the more common ones nowadays. That includes most salad dressings, mayonnaise, and many sauces, as well as most vegetable and nut oils. An important exception for vegetable oils is coconut oil, which is good to use in place of the bad oils. Eliminate any foods that might have artificial trans-fats (hydrogenated vegetable oils), which includes many processed/packaged foods and most fried foods and many desserts (including those from restaurants). But most of all - do what is easiest first
