Guest guest
Sometimes you can feel like that when you're fighting something off. Or you could be detoxing, or your liver could be feeling overwhelmed. Fatigue and headache are symptoms of need to detox. Could also be something in your diet - MSG or even food allergy. My best solution to the malaise/headache thing is a megadose of vitamin C - 5 grams and another 5 grams in a few hours if that didn't work. Second best is minerals - bee pollen, black strap molasses, whatever you have on hand. The body can need minerals to detox - for breaking things down, making enzymes, etc. Third best is fasting. I think I know why, too. I took my pH after starting a fast and it was 7.2. I have a feeling it wasn't that good when I was eating. If the food is making you acid, when you take away that stress your body instantly pops over to alkaline (Well, not instantly I don't know how long it takes - something I'll look into next time). You don't have to stop eating period, either. If you have a juicer do a juice fast - if you don't you can do Master Cleanse or Raw Milk. Or you could even try a few days of eating just raw - at least that would take the load off the body's need to use so many enzymes for digestion so it could direct them to detox. See www.juicefasting.org for more info. --- In , " Dora " <adorablemama@...> wrote: > > I am wondering if anyone has any bright ideas what could be the source > and solution of my extreme fatigue, also, I've had a headache for about > two weeks, I finally broke down and took 800 mg of Motrin today, but > it's been miserable. Guest guest
Most of the time I eat pretty good along NT lines, then my kids want me to make cookies like yesterday, but the fatigue is pretty consistent. Guest guest
In order to help you, we're all going to need more information, Fatigue can be caused by many different things. 1. How long have you had the fatigue? 2. When is it the worst? 3. Is there any part of the day you feel well? 4. What time do you sleep and how is your sleep quality? 5. Any other symptoms? 6. Any major stressors or changes in your life that correlate?
Guest guest
I´d look for problems, in this order--bear in mind I have no real idea what you´re actually eating: 1. cut out the dairy. you may be reacting to it, even if it´s good- quality raw dairy. It´s worth trying. 2. Cut out most of your carbs, as in, eat less than 20% carbs for about 3-5 days. This could also be the issue. 3. Get some sleep. If none of those work, make a very specific food diary for about a week, then post it here. mike --- In , " Dora " <adorablemama@...> wrote: > > Most of the time I eat pretty good along NT lines, then my kids want > me to make cookies like yesterday, but the fatigue is pretty > consistent. > > Dora >
Guest guest
1. How long have I had the fatigue...8 years since the birth of my first born and then 2 others since then. I seem more intense in the past few months, I mean the interuptions are less and yet I feel more exhausted than ever. To be honest, my night is rarely uninterupted. And even then I should get to bed by 9. Usually it's more like 9:30 or 10, then up by 6:30 to get DH off to work. Sleep quality is pretty good when I can get everyone to leave me alone. Most of the time I do feel fine in the morning but when 1 or 2 pm comes around, I feel like a wet rag. Well, I think I've answered my own question, anyway until I get about a year of nights uninterupted it would probably be impossible to identify any other problem. I would play around with the timing of your meals and eating more protein at breakfast. I feel much better when I eat a lot of meat at breakfast than when I don't. Are you dragging all afternoon and evening? Or do you feel better after eating lunch?
Guest guest
I agree about the protein breakfast...usually it's eggs and cheese cooked in a big bunch o butter. I'm usually not too hungry until 2 pm, even when I'm not trying, I just don't even think about food till 2pm. I do feel slightly more energetic when I eat a lowcarb lunch too but that happens about half the time, and yes I usually do drag all afternoon and evening unless I take a nap, I'm getting embarassed to have brought it up. I believe it's an issue of sleep debt, you know my kids waking me up in the night and there is really no opportunity to make it up. Dora > Are you dragging all afternoon and evening? Guest guest
Even though you aren't hungry until 2pm, try eating lunch at 11 or 12 anyway for a few days, and see if it helps.
Guest guest
Whatever else may be wrong, the interrupted sleep has probably worn out your adrenals. Babies waking wore mine out too (okay so the years of bartending didn't help either:), but some herbs and accupuncture helped turn things around. I also switched from coffee in the morning to a scant tsp of sea salt and extra vitamin C. It helps quite a bit. I totally agree with the recommendations on protein and fat in the am. If I eat 4 over easy eggs swimming in butter and coconut oil and lard (I pour the fat from the pan on top of the eggs), with a raw yolk on top then I can keep up with the kids. . . .
