Guest guest
Look into myofunctional therapy. There may be one in your area and I have spoken with a couple and it seems it's a profession that attracts really cool people. > > our 5 year old's new teeth are coming in very tight...she also snores > quite a bit which confirms that she has sub-optimal breathing > structures [only on WP since age 3 or so] and a tongue thrust... > > Hoping to have her WP diet with lots of CLO, Xfactor, broths, pastured > meats etc will help naturally widen her palate but wondering if anyone > out there has been apble to address these concerns this early with > dentistry or orthodontics. > > I have an appointment with a holistic dentist in Groton Massachusetts > in late August but looking to have as much information as possible > going into the appointment as it is very expensive! > > Thanks all.. >
Guest guest
I'd just like to mention that I have taken my 2 girls (7 & 9 at the time) to Groton to be evlauated for palate expansion. We saw Dr. Carney because I was told that Dr. & Evens don't " do " orthodontics. HOWEVER...Dr. Carney was not familiar with the ALF or any sort of slow palate expansion and if I do say so myself... even though I saw W.P. pamphlets in just about every room...DR. Carney was not very knowledgable with Dr. Price's finding or any of the information openly available through the foundation AT ALL. He also didn't seem very interested in learning about the ALF appliance. I mentioned all my findings in my research while mentioning my specific concerns regarding rapid expansion. And he basically responded to my concerns as unfounded saying that there was no " proof " that there was anything wrong with rapid expansion and in the end presented me with a final plan for rapid palate expansion only. I paid BIG money to have full evaluations done on my 2 children. I DID and DO feel that Dr. Carney was arrogant with me, and I was sorry to have found that in him. Just wanted to give a heads up and my experience with him. And this is not to say the Dr. & Evens are not great dentists. I am currently seeking an orthodontist who WILL listen to my appeal for slow expansion preferably using the ALF appliance. There's one in Canada and one in Pennsylvania. These are 12 and 8 hour drives for me But a parent does what a parent has to do. > > our 5 year old's new teeth are coming in very tight...she also snores > quite a bit which confirms that she has sub-optimal breathing > structures [only on WP since age 3 or so] and a tongue thrust... >
Guest guest
I have been going to DR BONSON in Mclean, Virginia for the past six months and I have seen a lessening of my TMJ symtoms and dizziness... I am so happy !!! He is really doing more research now but he takes patients 3 times a week. I heard that he was working on a six year old at presesent. I have the ALF but he has brochures in his office for functional jaw orthopedics and the myobrace myofunctional orthodontic system. He is getting worked on with an ALF himself as well as his receptionist ! > > > > our 5 year old's new teeth are coming in very tight...she also > snores > > quite a bit which confirms that she has sub-optimal breathing > > structures [only on WP since age 3 or so] and a tongue thrust... > > > > Hoping to have her WP diet with lots of CLO, Xfactor, broths, > pastured > > meats etc will help naturally widen her palate but wondering if > anyone > > out there has been apble to address these concerns this early with > > dentistry or orthodontics. > > > > I have an appointment with a holistic dentist in Groton > Massachusetts > > in late August but looking to have as much information as possible > > going into the appointment as it is very expensive! > > > > Thanks all.. > > >
