Guest guest
Unfortunately, I'm not talking about human hair loss :-) My dog has had a small bald spot about the size of a 50 cent piece in the middle of tail for years. No signs of any sort of infection or dryness (per many Vets)- just no hair. He is a Viszla and has no undercoat so it is very easy to compare the bald spot to the rest of his skin. I figured it may be due to an injury. He got his tail stuck in the door right at that point once - no breakage but it hurt. A few months ago the bald spot started to expand so I became concerned. I automatically reached for the coconut oil. For a few weeks I was doing coconut oil, aloe vera and vitamin E, but eventually settled on just coconut oil. I had to apply it while he was scarfing down his food or he would immediately lick it off. I would always let him lick my hands after application. I saw immediate hair growth, but wasn't sure if I was imagining things. Now, a few months later the spot is completely filled in. The wonders of coconut oil continue...
