Guest guest
I can't picture a grinder that has wood like you say - mine are metal and the electric one is plastic. If there are parts you can't get to, running some rocksalt through might help as it inhibits the growth of a lot of kinds of mold and could clean out grains that were left behind to mold. You'd want to oil the metal parts before and after that tho so the salt doesn't rust them. If there is mildew into the grain of the wood, tho, I don't know how to get that out! --- In , Laree Kline <lareekline@...> wrote: > > > > > Ugh! Got a grain grinder from freecycle and was so excited. But when I got it out to use, I discovered that it has a moldy smell in the wood. Is it salvagable and if so, what can I do to kill the mold? Or do I just save the motor and have a new box built? > > TIA! > > Laree > >
