Guest guest
I just read through the process to make Whey and i really dont feel like going through that. Is it something that can be bought? Has anyone had beet kvass (which includes homemade whey in the recipe)? For those of you who used organic coconut oil-i found it fairly cheap- vitacost.com, NSI brand where is their generic.
Guest guest
I'm told that Dannon does make a yogurt with live cultures in it. Just makes sure that the container says Contains live cultures. Straining the why off of that works. Yes, I drink beet kvass every day that I make myself. If I remember correctly, the NT recipes says you can use more salt instead of whey. I have a friend that does that. Just chop the beets up coarsely, throw into a big glass jar (or several small ones) with some whey and sea salt and add filtered water. I try to drink a glass every morning. Guest guest
Just a warning, my kvass didn't turn out well this year because the extreme drought here made all the beets taste only of dirt. No one likes a glass of dirt kvass! desh
