Guest guest
Patty- The last time you mentioned this I wondered about iodine chemistry, and the chemistry of the iodine which stimulated the allergy. Was it radioactive iodine? Could your body have freaked from that, and the iodine allercy is just a piggyback feature? I know that Edgar Cayce claimed that the body recognize a certain kind of iodine (iirc he called it atomidine) rather than potassium iodide, etc. desh
Guest guest
Desh, I wasn't radioactive Iodine, it was the Iodine based dye they used to look at my kidneys. That was a mild reaction. Another time, they needed to use it to look at something else and used Benadryl and Steroids before hand, and I did ok. Then in 1997 they did a cardiac cath and even though I'd been pre-treated for 2 days before with IV Benadryl and steroids, I still went into anaphylaxis and spent 3 days in ICU. I've only been eating naturally for about 9 months so don't be too aghast at all the procedures. I have been very ill and brainwashed as I was in pharmacy and then an RN, so over 30 years in the medical field, lol. I seem to react to Iodine in any form. --- In , De Bell-Frantz <deshabell@...> wrote: > > Patty- > > The last time you mentioned this I wondered about iodine chemistry, and > the chemistry of the iodine which stimulated the allergy.
