looking for some clarification on this as well! We are on a low/no

sugar diet but want to figure out some way to save all the berries we

have picked without freezing [my freezer is jammed alread!] We like to

use berries for kefir smoothies, not for toast [low gluten too]

also, does anyone out there have any recommendations for small

freezers? looks like a lot of the smaller ones that I am looking at

fall apart or just stop working --which would be very expensive and

heartbreaking to loose all those foods I've struggled to find!!

if you buy a freezer, get one with an alarm that goes off if the door is left

open and the

food starts to thaw. this has saved us several times! we have an upright freezer

and if

something is sticking out, the door won't go shut all the way. of course, if the

alarm stops

working, that won't help you.

can berries be dehydrated? I haven't tried it.
