Guest guest
FitDay rolled out an update of its website today. I am impressed with the refinement of the existing features. The updated report feature says (over the last two months) I get only 2% of the recommended value of manganese and 18% of the required amount of vitamin E. I get 77% of the suggested amount of magnesium. I do take high-vitamin butter oil, which has an unspecified amount of vitamin E in it. One thought is to consume almonds, which have manganese, magnesium and Vitamin E as alpha tocopherol in them. But almonds also are high in omega 6 acids, often are roasted in vegetable oil, and if not roasted need to be soaked in order to eliminate some enzyme inhibitors. Does anyone have a whole or traditional foods suggestion to increase my intake of these three nutrients?

Most foods that are high in vitamin E are also fairly high in PUFA. Manganese is also fairly low in animal foods, which tells me that it may also be over-rated. I get most of my manganese and vitamin E from a little bit of nitrogen flushed and refrigerated wheat germ.
