HIV AIDS Awareness prog for Rural Practitioners conducted at Patna Junction

Dear Forum,

A special HIV AIDS awareness programme for rural practitioners was conducted by

Regional AIDS Training Center and Network in India (RATNEI), International

Health Organization in collaboration with CIPLA yesterday ( i.e. on 13th May

2007) at Nalanda Vihar, Patna Junction.

Dr Diwakar Tejaswi, Medical Director, spoke on Universal Work precautions and

Post Exposure Prophylaxis as well as other basic issues. Functioning and

Importance of Needle cutter and needle burner was also demonstrated to them.

Rural practitioners were very enthusiastic in knowing the details and helping in

prevention of HIV spread.
