Guest guest
I was doing some research on irradiated foods after mentioned about a speaker saying nearly all tropical fruit was irradiated. And yes, most imported tropical fruit is irradiated. Hawaii just built a big irradiation facility. But all irradiated foods do legally have to marked with the exception of spices. They are marked with this cute little symbol called the radura symbol. http://www.fsis.usda.gov/images/radura.gif So just a heads up. Look at that symbol and avoid anything with it. I haven't gone to the grocery store yet to search for the symbol though. -
Guest guest
If the fruit is labeled organic, it isn't irradiated, right? > > I was doing some research on irradiated foods after mentioned > about a speaker saying nearly all tropical fruit was irradiated. > > And yes, most imported tropical fruit is irradiated.
