Of course it says " Keep Frozen " but true pemmican is supposed to keep for years and years without refrigeration. Has anyone tried keeping their pemmican at room temperature before eating? I want to bring some pemmican on a backpacking trip and don't want to worry about getting sick from it. I don't know how dehydrated their pemmican is; if it has even a little water I think it could be risky since it isn't cured and only lightly salted.
