Guest guest
Hi , I don't know what Desh's response will be, but I started taking Magnesium glycinate and it is fantastic! I've always heard that Mg is a relaxant, but never really believed it until now -- man, does it knock me out good when I take it with dinner! Dr. Ron Schmid recommends this form (I believe because it's chelated?) and it's not super pricey. I'm using the Kal brand right now and got 180 tablets (2 per day) for around $25, though I didn't shop around for a better deal.
Guest guest
I think that it's generally agreed that magnesium citrate is the most easily digested / absorbed form, even for people with low stomach acid. However, if you have reflux or heartburn, it may exacerbate that. Also, some people claim that they reach bowel tolerance to mg citrate more quickly than other forms, and that they can take more of the mg glycinate. I have good results with mg citrate (Natural Calm powdered lemon drink) and good results with the Trace Minerals Research ionic magnesium. I also have taken some Solaray cal/mg/zinc in the past, but it did not have enough magnesium. The nice thing about the Natural Calm powder (very very tart) is that you can hide it in things if the kids get picky (lemonade popsicles!). I have been planning on trying mag glycinate the next time I have the bucks for a big vitamin order from vitacost or iherb. Desh
Guest guest
Thanks and Desh, I am needing it for helping move things along in a couple of slow moving kids. So i will go with the one that specifically remedies that and hopefully find on that has all three types in it for the rest of us. Thanks! --- In , De Bell-Frantz <deshabell@...> wrote: > > I think that it's generally agreed that magnesium citrate is the most > easily digested / absorbed form, even for people with low stomach acid. >
Guest guest
You could also try homeopathic nat. mur. It is good for water balance issues in the body. This can also be an adrenal fatigue issue (nat mur can help that a little but there's other stuff to try too). We work on that here ourselves.
