As I said before, it only goes up to 2007 right now. When I went through the

PTManager site, it led me to the CMS site you referenced below. 2008 is not an

option to choose. It only goes to 2007. I guess my question would now be is

when is 2008 posted? Thanks!

You can view this through the CMS website at

http://www.cms. hhs.gov/PFSlooku p/. Follow the prompts and, if you

want to speed things up, use a range of CPT's (e.g., 97001 - 97999)

and it will give them to you in a list.

, just yesterday I received an e-mail update from Noridian stating

that the 2008 fee schedule is not yet posted. It stated that they took the

previous fee schedule off the site and that they will post the new one in

the near future. I'm not at work, yet, but can e-mail you the update later

today if you would like me to.

If you login to www.apta.org as an APTA member, you can access the 2008

fees. " I used Medicare fee calculator " as my search words.

In Louisiana, the Medicare 2008 Fee Schedule has been updated (as of

1/3/2008--which is the update date not the actual date the fee schedule was

published and accessible to providers) and does reflect the increase versus

decrease

in the Medicare allowed amounts signed into legislation on Dec. 28, 2007. To

access the updated Medicare fee schedule for Louisiana, go to

_www.lamedicare.com_ (http://www.lamedicare.com) , double click on provider

information

(left side of the screen), then click on " Fee Schedule, " also on the left side

of the screen. It allows you the option of printing the revised fee schedule

or entering CPT codes on the " Interactive Fee Schedule. "

If you are in another state, contact your Medicare FI for the website

address.

I do not think the APTA website calculator is correctly calculating Medicare

fees based on the new legislation that was signed at the end of the year.

I have not been able to find documentation on the CMS website with updated

information as many of you have already noted. However, I think there is enough

information to make fairly accurate calculations of the fees for the first half

of 2008.

My understanding is that there are 2 key things that were impacted with the

legislation related to Medicare fees. First, the Conversion Factor for the

first 6 months of 2008 has been increased .05% from the 2007 CF (37.8975 * 1.005

= 38.0870). Second, if work value for your regional geographic practice cost

indices is under 1.000, the legislation extends previous legislation that the

minimum work value is 1.000.

The 2008 RVUs and GPCI data are available on the CMS website along with

information on how to make the calculations for Medicare fees based on the data
