Best Reference Book for Natural Medicines?

My mom would like a comprehensive reference book (not something

online) on natural medecines - something written for the layperson

that goes over the use, risks, doses, etc. of each item with good

science to back up any claims of effectiveness and safety.

Note: the commission E stuff don't seem to be up to date, and I'm not

sure if any of the PDR books are good enough.
