Guest guest
Oh -- and you can get it through Organic Pastures. If you call them, they will deliver it to the Los Angeles hub store for pick up on Sat afternoon. Steaks, ground beef, etc. Ann Marie On Mar 27, 2008, at 3:21 PM, Irene wrote: > You can get grass fed beef from Rocky Canyon Farms. Guest guest
You can get grass fed beef from Rocky Canyon Farms. They are in Atascadero but sell at the farmers markets in Santa and Hollywood. Guest guest
What about San Diego or Orange County...anywhere? Guest guest
You ladies brought up a few places and I appreciate it...here are my thought processes, I looked at every place on the eatwild.com page and they are none of them RAISING their beef in Southern California, why is that important, it means to me, that there are very few places serving a population of 24 million. Mebbe some of them don't particularly want to drive to LA to get their beef and don't particularly want to pay large shipping costs. I'm calling it my market research. Thanks for the input. I recently spoke to someone from a grassfed Central Cali operation and found out that they have TONS of inquiries from down here. My original question was if there were people living around here who would buy my excess at prices lower than the health food stores, I have been bitten by the farming bug and DH just wants to know if it's going to be somewhat profitable. Guest guest
I would! I have friends who would, too. And you could meet with the various WAPF chapters in SoCal -- there are a few. When are you thinking of getting started? Ann Marie On Mar 27, 2008, at 9:30 PM, Dora wrote: > > found out that they have TONS of inquiries from down here. Guest guest
I would love to get started asap...life being what it is, it means selling or renting my house. And getting into a larger piece of property. I have a lady willing to sell me a Guernsey calf, but really I need a cow, I just have to find one that is not too far away if possible. I have been trying to get into contact with my local group but the person who is on the list is not responsive so I guess I will cast my net a little further.
