+++Hi andra. I had a consultation with a lady yesterday who

makes her own nut butter. She first soaks and dries them, and then

grinds them up in a food processor with unrefined coconut oil and

butter. She is going to send me the recipe. Some coconut oils don't

have any coconut flavour, but if concerned use butter.

process them to get a decent consistency.

+++Hi Sara. In the U.S. all almonds are irradiated (zapped with

radiation) which damages the body's cells, and can even cause cancer,

so they shouldn't be consumed. Even if the almonds are labelled raw,

they can be zapped, unless you get them from a special supplier who

doesn't allow them to be zapped. Other countries are also starting to

irradiate their almonds, so check your area.

If you find some non-irradiated almonds, you can make some with soaked and dried

blanched almonds and a couple of tablespoon of coconut oil (you can use Omega

Nutrition if you don't want the coconutty taste) and run it through the Champion

juicer (mix the melted oil with the whole almonds first). This way, you get a

nice creamy consistency.

That is a pretty good idea, I hadn't thought of palm oil! Thanks.

impart a coconutty flavor)?

Okay, thanks Bee. I'll look forward to grabbing that recipe if/when

you get it on the website! :)
