Guest guest
i'd start at http://www.nvic.org/state-site/state-exemptions.html if i understand correctly, you don't need (most of the time) an exemption until you enroll your (unvaccinated or undervaccinated) child in a licensed childcare facility or in a licensed school. mothering.com discussion boards has an entire section devoted to discussion of vaccinations - both completely not doing them to the various ways one might selectively do them. there are also a number of good books on vaccinations - the one that pops into my head is one by Jill Avivva Romm, but there's also one by Neil? . also check out http://vacinfo.org for more resources. -jennifer On Apr 3, 2008, at 11:02 AM, gdawson6 wrote: > My sister is due with a baby boy soon and she asked me what to do > about vaccines. Guest guest
Even if she decides to vaccinate her child, there is no reason to vaccinate against an STD (hepatitis) when the child is only a day old! Wait until she's a teen at least! Why put their fragile immune system through that so early? Especially when there are still a lot of unknowns about the vaccines, like contamination with mycoplasma, etc. At a few days old the babies have almost no immune system at all, and even at a year old it's not up to full strength yet. Do the stresses of vaccination contribute to the chronic ear infections, dysbiosis, colic, etc that so many modern parents have to deal with? I think they do! I can see how some parents (who trust the medical profession) would want to vaccinate their babies against infant-killers like whooping cough, etc. tho. So even if she decides to vaccinate, maybe she can break down which to do first and which she can wait on until the baby's immune system is stronger. My daughter was vaccinated and after the second time, she became a fussy baby and every time she got more shots after that the worse she slept and the crankier she became. Now she's got ADD/oppositional disorder (would have if I let her get diagnosed) and I have to be VERY careful with what she eats or we have some very extreme bad behavior, even suicidal thoughts! A homeopathic doctor I met at a party pegged her after about half an hour of seeing her playing (and she wasn't even that bad then, but did have some " party food " ). I wish my anti-vaccination friends had given me more information before I let my kids get vaccinated! --- In , " gdawson6 " <gdawson6@...> wrote: > > My sister is due with a baby boy soon and she asked me what to do > about vaccines. Guest guest
Hep B is the worst. I just don't get it. It is listed as only lasting for 10-15 years so WHY give it a newborn. Just crazy. We don't vaccinate at all. After LOTS of research we will never vaccinate a child again (our 1st was full vaxed until 5yo and 2nd until 3 months, #3 & #4 have never gotten stuck). <http://geo./serv?s=97359714/grpId=386954/grpspId=1705060950/msgId= 99244/stime=1207242611/nc1=5191945/nc2=5191951/nc3=5202321>
Guest guest
Please tell her she MUST research this thoroughly BEFORE allowing a single shot. It is way too important. After doing a lot of research myself, I would not allow a SINGLE vaccination ever! She should not let her doctor guilt her into doing it. She's the mom! http://www.vaclib.org/ http://www.nvic.org/ http://insidevaccines.com/wordpress/?p=86#more-
