I know of two resources both by Angie , PT. The first is " The

Desktop Consultant " . The other is " Book of Policies for Rehabilitation

Services. " Both are available through the APTA's Health Policy and

Administration Section at www.aptahpa.org.

They each come with hard copies and a disc of templates for a variety of items.

I have more experience with the Desktop Consultant, having used it extensively

as a starting point for orientation materials as well as policies. The second

manual may even better meet your needs. At first glance, they sem a but pricey

but they are well worth the cost.

Hello Group,

We are needing to update and revise our policy and procedure manuals

for our outpatient physical therapy clinics. Some are free-standing

and some are hospital based. After reviewing, I am more inclined

to 'start fresh'. Does anyone know of a good generic manual for

purchase that I can customize for each facility?
