Guest guest Posted April 27, 2007 Report Share Posted April 27, 2007 The India HIV/AIDS Alliance invites application for the following positions for its Andhra Pradesh office: Technical Officer: Clinical Services (Salary from Rs.506, 296 pa) The Technical Officer: Clinical Services will be responsible for building capacity of NGOs in clinical care and services related to HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). The individual will lead the development of clinical care and services (VCT, PPTCT, STIs, ARVs, community preparedness for ARVs, HIV/AIDS and TB and other clinical services) across Alliance programmes in Andhra Pradesh, promote innovation and good practice; lead and manage capacity development and technical support to programmes and partners; provide technical expertise to support policy and programme work and, support new programme development. We seek professionally qualified physicians (MBBS, MD in Community Medicine or Skin & V.D) with at least 4 years experience of clinical medicine and at least 2 years' experience of providing clinical care and services in STI and/or HIV/AIDS. Experience of working with NGOs and experience in managing and coordinating HIV/AIDS projects will be added advantage. Fluency in English, Telugu and excellent computer and inter-personal skills are essential for the post. Should be willing to travel extensively to programme areas. Salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience. Senior Finance Officer (Salary from Rs.604, 548- pa) The Senior Finance Officer shall be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the financial systems in Andhra Pradesh, ensuring compliance with all financial management and statutory obligations. S/he will manage funds disbursements to partner organisations. The Senior Finance Officer will also be responsible for supervising two Field Support Officers: Finance and one Accountant. The postholder will also be responsible for overseeing and providing technical support to partner organizations. Qualified Chartered Accountants, with more than 6-8 years' experience of handling organizational accounts in an established medium to large organization and with experience of providing financial management/accounting support to NGOs/CBOs and grants management, need to apply. Fluency in English and excellent computer and interpersonal skills are essential for the post. Should be willing to travel up to 15-20% of time. Knowledge of Telugu will be an added advantage.
