Guest guest
I didn't read the autobiography but I agree 1000 percent. How about this little gem of a saying " a man convinced against his will was of the same opinion still. " and Dale Carnegie said you can't win an argument. You can discuss but that means a willingness to be open to what the other person has to say and that is almost mutually exclusive to the terms of a debate, lol. And yes actions speak ten times louder than words to a balanced person. Like when I used to talk to this nutritionist who was fat, I would think: how can you tell me about health and healing when you haven't healed yourself?. It's like never having ever done a load of laundry or seen a washing machine but then talking someone through it using an instruction manual. You just don't do that. And to Sharon, yes I am with you on the tennis thing. Too many people are out of their bodies and in their heads all the time. Good verbal skills will help anyone in life but this is a knowledge worshiping society where everyone is concerned about having the answers for other people more than having peace of mind. I just read last night a little commentary on the book of Job, the most mystical book in the bible imho, and it said one of the themes is " Job recognizes that we do not so much need " answers " to life's problems, as we need God himself.
