Guest guest
Hi I am new to the group. Does anyone here know about effective natural remedies for paranoia. I have a relative who is already on medication, and is having paranoia symptoms daily. Mental problems are often caused by digestive disorders, so one thing your relative could try would be to go on the SCD/GAPS diet, with special attention to probiotic foods (e.g. kefir) and WAPF-style nutrient density. -
Guest guest
I've read quite a bit about food sensitivities and emotional disturbances like paranoia. So it could be stemming from something like celiac or protein allergy - common ones are dairy, pork, chicken, eggs, and of course now that its GM corn and soy. A two-week " fast " eating only the least allergenic foods may clear it up completely, but then he'd have to figure out which things can be reintroduced back into the diet safely, and it's a lot of work if someone doesn't wholeheartedly believe in it. Peptizyde is an alternative, but must be taken everytime anything is eaten, which again seems like a lot to expect if the person doesn't believe in it. I've also spoken with lots of homeless men, used to work in a shelter, and the concensus was that too much drug use does permanent damage to the brain and can result in paranoia. Even marijuana, and I got that straight from heavy users who still didn't want to quit. I don't know if that kind of damage can be healed with diet, but one would hope an optimum diet would be able to heal a lot of damage. > > Hi > I am new to the group. > Does anyone here know about effective natural remedies for > paranoia. Guest guest
Yes, I would also be highly inclined to think there's a gut problem involved. Dysbiosis (bad gut bacterial overgrowth) is likely. My husband was on a course of antibiotics recently and had serious anxiety, paranoia, and nightmares. Now he's back on probiotics and cultured foods and he's fine. However, the medication your relative is on is likely contributing to the problem. Get off the meds and heal the gut.
