Cheney and Rumsfeld created the continuity of government program in the early 1980s to plan an executive military-based dictatorship in the country, and those plans are continuing to be expanded including by executive orders made this year. The most recent executive order allows the executive to not only dissolve Congress and take over the government, but to take over all private businesses as well. The question is, what happens if and when the opinion of the other branches conflict? What if the courts review it and decide it is subject to court review? Ultimately it will be a matter of which branch the military decides to be obedient too. Military officers take an oath to defend the constiution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Will they defend the constitution against the president, the head of the Federal Reserve, and the Secretary of the Treasury, all of whom are domestic enemies of the constitution? Probably not.
