Guest guest
I've read journal articles about the difference between kids in high lead areas with problems v/s those who don't show problems is their blood vitamin C levels. So keep them up in both and it may help. Do you live near a major road? I've read that lead is in the dust/dirt near intersections, highways, and the hazard from inhaling it is much higher than from ingesting it. Just something to think about. All from leaded gasoline, which was a very bad idea. For Mom, French Green Clay may be beneficial, she could read up on it. Some things would stir it up and make more circulate, but that one seems to just absorb it and get it out. > > Friends, > Our little boy came back with slightly elevated lead levels (11 mg/dl), > where m is for micro, not milli I believe). > > He is 12 months old. Guest guest
Dr. Flechas of Flechas Family Practice ( http://cypress.he.net/~bigmacnc/drflechas/index.htm) recommends iodine to help chelate heavy metals. I had a urine analysis done and was very high in arsenic. I also had tingling in my hands, heart palpitations and anxiety. I spoke to Jerry Brunetti at the Deidre Currie Festival last week and he concurred, Iodoral is good for kicking out the heavy metals. I am taking 50 mg per day of Iodoral. Since your wife is nursing, she might want to take less Iodoral and slowly work up to a larger dose. You could call Dr. Flechas and do a consultation -- he can tell you how much she would need to take. The baby will get the iodine via the breastmilk. She could also take a probiotic to help the body detox. Dr. -McBride talked about this at the conference. She said if a mom is toxic and breastfeeding a little one, it is important for her to take a therapeutic grade probiotic -- the good bacteria in the gut help the body detox. She said to go slow though. Work up to a larger dose over time. Going to fast can cause the baby to be affected by the detoxification. Juicing of fresh vegetables and fruits, epsom salt baths, and enemas are also recommended by Dr. -McBride to assist in detoxification.
