Guest guest
Well the saga continues. I'm getting REALLY beat down. I went to my general practitioner & she said it could possibly be that it's just taking time for my swollen armpit to go down. She told me to wait a few weeks to see if it gets better. She also did a CBC to see if there was still an infection, and it came back fine(the test was taken on Monday). Well last night(Wednesday) my armpit started hurting pretty bad when I would lift my arm up. The pain is in a different spot than before, and it's slightly red. When I press on it I feel a bump and it hurts. So I called my Dr. back and they want to give me a prescription for another antibiotic for an infection. I'm soooo frustrated. They just did a test on Monday for an infection which came back fine(as in no infection). I feel like I may have a low grade temperature. What the heck is going on? Do you all think I should go to a naturopathic Dr. They're not allowed to diagnose in my state, so I don't know how much they could do for me. I do NOT want to take another antibiotic. Thanks for any and all help everyone.
Guest guest
Isn't it the WORST when they kind of shrug and say they don't know what it is, but would you like a prescription?? My heart goes out to you! If it were me, I'd be putting on lugol's iodine, and maybe taking colloidial silver, high doses of vitamin C, maybe even zeolite. I tend to just throw everything at something if it freaks me out. 'Course it could just be something like a boil, and then wouldn't you be relieved! > > Well the saga continues. Guest guest
Even though a Naturopath can't give a 'medical' diagnosis, they may still be able to help. You've already covered your bases with the family doc, so it wouldnt hurt to give an ND a try. Have you tried a warm compress on the affected area? Perhaps a homeopathic cream like calendula may help? Guest guest
Just a little related story - Last week, I grabbed ahold of what may have been some kind of stinging nettle in my flowerbed and tried to pull it out. Scraped the skin of my hand ever so slightly before I realized it was not going to budge. It started burning and then aching, the ache getting as bad as labor pains, in my hand, arm and armpit (for several hours). Seemed like it must've been doing something to the lymph nodes in my armpit, or they were trying to clear that substance out. Maybe it's something else in your 'pit, not an infection - ? But if it's a boil, turmeric in milk works wonders! (I think it was about a tablespoon of turmeric in warm milk, and it even was delicious). Joy > > Well the saga continues. How many times per day would I put it on? Would this draw out anything if it is an infection? I don't want to take colloidial silver after seeing that man that turned blue from it. I know he was taking extreme amounts, but anything that can turn someone blue permanently makes me a little afraid. Han anyone heard of or used black drawing salve? I've been putting a very warm washcloth on it, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Thanks for all of the information.

Guest guest
I'd put the iodine on it - on the skin. Some believe it can be soaked into the skin to be available in that area and it is a powerful germ-killer/infection fighter. It just occurred to me, an old country remedy is to put a crushed cabbage leaf on that kind of thing - it is supposed to draw out poisons, infections, etc. Evidently it can be powerful enough to make it ache a bit but will work fairly quickly like a day or two. > > > > > > If it were me, I'd be putting on lugol's iodine, and maybe taking > > colloidial silver, high doses of vitamin C, maybe even zeolite. Guest guest
The man that turned blue was making his own and applying it topically to his face. Oh wow, I didn't know a cabbage leaf could do that...very interesting.

Guest guest
I just took it *once*, and within a few hours, that thing that may have been a boil on the inside of my nostril was completely deflated. Somebody had mentioned the prevalence of MRSA infection, it being so common now and so many people don't even know it, and that it can cause boils, so I just tried that. Whatever it was, it had been there for months, not responding to anything else, and within a few hours of drinking that turmeric-milk, it was gone, never to return. The inside of the nostril still has some problems, but aloe vera seems to be taking care of the rest of it. Joy > > > > > > But if it's a boil, turmeric in milk works wonders!
