Guest guest
I seem to recall someone had put together a spreadsheet of traditional foods and their nutritional information so you can calculate your daily intake in a way better than what is currently available at sites like Nutrition Data. Am I remembering correctly and can anyone send this to me? I'm trying very hard to gain weight and something like this would be a help to me. Hi KerryAnn, I put together an Excel workbook for calculating dietary nutrition. It's based mainly on the USDA nutrient database, supplemented with a little data from a few other sources: http://stay-healthy-enjoy-life.blogspot.com/2007/08/dietary-nutrition-calculator\ ..html You do need Excel to use this workbook. If you know a little about Excel, it's pretty powerful. You can sort the data by nutrients per 100 grams or nutrients by 100 calories to see which foods have what you want. And of course, it will give an estimate of the macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients in the foods you eat after you enter the amounts. I also put some links to other sources of nutrition data here: http://stay-healthy-enjoy-life.blogspot.com/2007/09/food-nutrient-information.ht\ ml My weight is down to about 205 lb doing the 18/6 fast/eat approach, but I would still like to lose about another 10 lb. Wish I could give it away
