Guest guest
Seems to me (in my admitted ignorance) that humans came along and developed on whatever was available. There are plenty of substances that humans have figured out are not good for them, even though those substances are a staple food for other species. The ones we still eat, our forebears were able to utilize well enough to procreate. That doesn't mean there's nothing in those substances that are harmful to us; just that there's more beneficial than harmful. Who knows what defenses our bodies have come up with to deal with the relatively-minor amounts of harmful substances in the foods we end up eating. Then of course, some individuals have problems with certain substances in foods that most people don't have problems with. That might not even totally be a function of the part of the world their ancestors developed in. Joy > > Gene- > > > I know what the meaning of the statement was.
