Guest guest
Hi , I spoke to my client about the details of oil pulling. He's an alternative M.D. who recommends oil pulling to all of his patients. He also recommends brushing with aluminum-free baking soda and salt after an oil-pulling. Note: Bob's Red Mill Baking Soda is alumimun-free. He explained that oral toxicity is the basis of many illnesses that develop in other areas of the body. Dr. Meinig's Root Canal Cover Up explains this in detail. Meinig identified 25 different species of microorganisms that can travel from the mouth to all other tissues of the body. Dr. Meinig (D.D.S.) died recently. He was a founding member of the American Association of Endodontists yet he wrote a book that exposed the dangers of root canals (endodontists are the clinicians who do root canals). His book provides details about the twenty-five years of research that Dr. Weston Price did on root canals (that shows how germs become trapped in teeth). Meinig explains that Dr. Price's work was buried for 70 years. A strong immune system can protect the body from infections that originate in the mouth. However, if the immune system is weakened by pollution or stress, microorganisms in the mouth can begin to cause problems in other tissues of the body. Indirectly, an oil pulling will benefit the liver and lymph because it removes toxins from the mouth—where a lot of disease-causing organisms reside. Meinig wrote: Strangely enough, streptococcus and other organisms, as they originally appear in the mouth, are relatively harmless and non- virulent. Meinig says that Dr. Price discovered that these same organisms learn to thrive and cause serious illnesses. Meinig quotes Price: > These same families of organisms did not have any of the destructive qualities when they first took up residence in the mouth. > Meinig explains that microorganisms in the mouth can move into the blood stream and travel to the liver, heart, joints, eyes, kidneys, and set up a new home—eventually disabling that tissue. BTW: Dr. Price's only son died from a root canal infection. I remember Deepak Chapra (however you spell it) saying that oil pulling got rid of germs in your gums and that gum germs affected your whole body and is why dentists sometimes give you antibiotics before pulling teeth, especially if you're old. Then I think the Chloride Magnesium people said the same. Probably many oils, like coconut, are good.
Guest guest
What is the alternative to a root canal? Is the only other choice having the tooth pulled? I've had a root canal (long ago), but I'm curious how to avoid one, should it come up. -Patty > > Dr. Meinig (D.D.S.) died recently. Guest guest
Hi Patty, Unfortunately, I think the only other alternative is having a tooth pulled. Guest guest
Thanks Jo, I've forwarded this to my oldest son who I've been trying to get to do oil pulling. Guest guest
Thanks for the answer. Hmmm, doesn't sound like much of an alternative. -Patty > > Hi Patty, > Unfortunately, I think the only other alternative is having a tooth > pulled. Guest guest
If you read any of Ramiel Nagel's stuff he says you could prevent root canals by doing his protocol for teeth healing. I think there are always a few alternatives out there. That just seems to be one of life's rules, with exceptions of course but it probably depends on many factors like how bad the tooth is, how healthy you can get your saliva and teeth in time for healing, whether you grind, etc. I am no expert but it just seems there is a lot involved which means to me if you can get enough factors right you can heal the tooth. When I got my fillings out I went to two alternative dentists and I was surprised about how little they knew about detoxing or weston price and one had been president of the holistic dentists association! To find out what's really out there you have to learn by doing your own research and most of them are seeing patients all day and these patients in turn are not demanding a lot of information. The patients from learning on their own probably end up knowing more. > > > > Hi Patty, > > Unfortunately, I think the only other alternative is having a tooth > > pulled. >

Guest guest
Hi, A doctor named Karach introduced oil pulling in Russia in the 1990s. A woman in our Weston Price chapter learned about it from some Hawaiian healers. It may be a folk remedy.
