Guest guest
Not a LMN, but we just received an referral from a physician to treat a patient weekly for one year to allow her to qualify for the breast reduction. We've seen her before; she gets better to a point then plateaus. The therapist thinks it's unethical to continue past the point of no improvement. I think continuing with a monitored program is what we should do for the patient. I think we need to demonstrate that even with monitoring compliance with an exercise and stretching program, the solution to this patients problem is going to be the breast reduction. By the way, she's a Medicaid patient. What do you folks recommend? Irene Bartlett, Rehab Director MMC-Des Moines
