Hi,

We too are in the SF bay area and send claims to Anthem Blue Cross. We do not

need to send the RX along with the claim whether it be paper or electronic so I

am not sure why they require you to do that. ???

Electronic Claims to Blue Cross

Hello,

We are an outpatient PT clinic in San Francisco Bay Area. We have been

submitting paper claims to Anthem (Blue Cross California) and also

attaching the Rx from referring MD since Anthem denies claims without a

Rx. Sending paper claims is costly and time consuming and hence we

would like to start sending electronic claims.

I was wondering if it is possible to submit an Rx to an electronic

claim? How are other PT clinics sending electronic claims to Anthem. We

use Gateway as our clearinghouse.
