Hi,

I know several of you have blogs and thought I'd ask your opinions before I

move forward with setting one up. Is wordpress good? Any information you can

offer is much appreciated.

Hi, ,

I think it's great that you are doing this. Blogging is such a

powerful way to not only spread the word about traditional diets,

healthy eating and sustainable farming, but it is also wonderful to

get support from others who are in our community.

I started on Wordpress.com. It's really easy to get it set up -- and

it's free.

I host all my photos on Flickr.com. Free also, unless you go over a

certain limit (and then it's $25/year). I haven't gone over my limit

yet and I post a lot of photos!

And now we have 's fabulous Native Nutrition Flickr group. I can

post to my blog and the cross post to the group. I can even email my

photos directly to Flickr from my iphone -- so easy!

If you ever want something more advanced than Wordpress.com, you can

set up a blog with Wordpress.org. It's free -- you set it up on your

own server or on a hosted server. That's for if you want to be able to

serve Google ads, and have more control over the layout, having your

own domain name, etc.

But like I said, that's advanced, start with Wordpress.com. You can

always upgrade later.

Please email me offlist if you have more questions. I'm happy to help.
