Guest guest
I treat many TMJ patients. Small TENS electrode directly on the cheek region either both on the side of the pain or one on each side. I like to use only one channel with 2 electrodes. I have also used ultrasound with the small head on the muscle. Hiten Dave' PT Masseter Muscle Group: I have a patient requesting E. Stim treatment to her masseter muscle due to tightness. Her doctors/dentists deny that she has TMJ but the patient thinks it is due to clinching her jaw because of stress. She is currently performing self massage, taking muscle relaxers, and using a night splint. Does anyone have a reference on how to treat masseter tightness with E. Stim? M.
