Guest guest
I am looking for any studies, data etc. that show any correlation to the availability of acute care therapies and length of stay in the hospital. We are in the process of writing business cases for increased therapy staffing for our acute care setting. As these positions are seen purely as a cost (i.e not " revenue producing " for most payers), I am looking for any data that shows a decrease in LOS with therapy, or conversely an increase LOS when therapies are not adequately staffed to then show the financial benefits of these positions. Thanks for any help/references. Mike Hampton, PT Outpatient Therapy Manager St. ph Hospital Bellingham, WA
