OT - need help from LA area natives

Here is a copy of my post on another board:

You have posted you are in LA right? Do you know where Culver City

is and can i ask you for a favor? It is really urgent. My sister

who is Scizophrenic took off a couple of yrs ago. Left our hometown

in Oregon and no one had heard from her except a call during xmas the

first yr saying she was in LA at X shelter (had hichhiked down there)

and wanted my mom to come and get her. My mom did not of course as

she does not want to deal with her - too busy partying herself.

Sister constantly goes off her meds and get's back into drugs and

wanders the streets.

Well my aunt called the shelter she was last seen at and they

directed her to the local authorites. She called them, who then

tracked my sister down either in jail or the psyche unit. Anyhow she

has finally been released and called my mom from Culver City asking

for a bus ticket home. My mom went to the local grey hound and they

do not have Culver City on their maps and the lady told my mom it

means they do not have a grey hound with-in 100 miles of the area.

If anyone is near there, if they can help us find another bus system

like grey hound that can take her to the nearest grey hound or a bus

line that can get her back here etc. I do not know of any other bus

system besides grey hound. Any help/ideas on how to get her home

would be great. I have been so worried about her and it kills me my

mom never did anything about this. We were stationed over seas for a

few yrs (military) and have been home about 8 months now i did not

even know about she was truly missing until this christmas. I knew

she left but did not know that no one had any info on her all this

time.

We are trying to get her home now as she phoned today that she is

out. Apparently she is not doing real well she was out 3 days ago,

phoned then and we heard nothing from since. Phoned today and had to

go to the hospital as she was sick and fainted shorlty after talking

to my mom the other day. Just released from the hospital today and

sounded coherent etc. and we want to get her home before her mind

goes again and she wanders some more.
