Guest guest
When I went to bartending school the teacher explained the more muscle to fat you have, the more the alcohol makes your muscles ache. The effect is pronounced because you drink infrequently. You're probably in good physical shape! Guest guest
Look at water and salt balance; usually the first thing to check re. cramps. Especially relevant since it occurs more in the summer.(you lose more water and salt in hot weather). If you are not getting enough salt in your diet, your cells won't be able to absorb enough water.Try a pinch of salt in a glass of water about three times a day, plus add it to your food to taste. You'll probably need to drink a few more glasses of plain water too. NB; only use unrefined sea salt or himalayan crystal salt.( See NT book) Ralph. --- In , " bosninnin " <bosninnin@...> wrote: > > can anyone tell me what chemical or other substance in beer/ wine other than alcohol could > cause painful muscle cramps in my legs. > i don't drink very often but live in the czech republic where beer is water. > i have noticed that if i get cramp its usually the day after i had a glass of beer/wine and that > it occurs more often in the summer! i never drink excessive amounts. > any clues would be welcome > Ingrid >
Guest guest
I've always heard that alcohol leaches all minerals out through the urine, not just magnesium. But definitely a lack of magnesium and calcium can cause muscle cramps. These are the minerals needed for contraction and expansion.
