Yeah, what happened to checks and balances? I guess we'll be paying for these bail-outs with all of that money from nothing courtesy of the Non-Federal Non-Reserve Board. Increase in Statutory Limit on the Public Debt. Subsection ( of section 3101 of title 31, United States Code, is amended by striking out the dollar limitation contained in such subsection and inserting in lieu thereof $11,315,000,000,000. ====== Apparently they are intending to spend more than the $700 billion they claim is the limit, since the national debt is currently only $9.7 trillion. This bill calls for an increase of $1.6 trillion, which is more than twice $700 billion. Chris
Guest guest
Actually I think it's the Chinese who are paying for the bailouts - why do they keep buying our bonds? I've read they financed our war with Iraq as well. So who is pulling whose strings? I'd love to tell the pro-war protesters at the West Chester War Corner* that their precious war is financed by the " commies " as they call them! *War Corner - every Saturday in West Chester, PA for over 20 years a handful of peace activists have met with a few signs for peace like " Honk for Peace " . Some right-wingers took offense at it during the current war and have staged a counter-protest complete with bikers and lots of flags that is pro-Bush and pro-war. So now it's called the war-corner. I've heard people come from very far away to stand on the corner and be nasty to the original peace people. There were some arrests in the recent past for them getting physical and now they each have assigned corners and aren't allowed to cross to the other's side. Crazy, ain't it??? > > Just when you thought things were getting completely out of (our) > > control....now the Secretary of Treasury may become a financial > > dictator, and by proxy, the president become an almost complete > > dictator at this point. > > Yeah, what happened to checks and balances? I can think of no better way than to spend my hard earned money than to buy the bad assets of wealthy banksters. Hey, stop complaining anyway, you can sell your own sh*t pile and maybe some group of suckers will pay you asking price too. Just go here to post your own sh*it pile: http://www.buymyshitpile.com/ or click on the " recent shitpiles " link to see other's bad assets for really good prices! I've got my eye on the rotten green haggis for $465,000.00. Suze
