Guest guest
Recently I've lost 20-30 pounds I gained thru pregnancy and the 3 years after. I started eating a more traditional diet a couple months before I found out I was pregnant, and then ate pretty good throughout and after. Once and a while I eat junk, but compared to what I grew up eating and ate in college, my diet is vastly improved. I nursed my daughter for 19 months and then gained tons of weight after. Probably from still eating portion sizes I ate while nursing. She just turned 3 and finally through controlling my portion sizes and exercising I've dropped the weight and am still losing. The problem is that now a lot of old problems are resurfacing. Headaches, cold clammy sweaty hands and feet, excessive sweating in the underarms. I remember having these problems in high school and college when I was also this size. I am also feeling like I am on speed all day long, can't sit still. What could be causing this and why would it resurface from losing weight? I am still in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height. Stress could be a factor, but I think it is more than that. I am sure I just put my metabolism in high gear since I feel the need to eat every couple hours or I get feeling sick, although all food is unappetizing to me right now. Wondering if this could be thyroid problems and what to do about it if it is? I also just went on the pill again for a 2 months, then stopped because I just can't handle the hormones and it brought out a lot of yeast issues and mood changes. Guest guest
To blend coconut oil into a smoothy, first melt it, add it (cool but liquid) to egg yolk, blenderize it well, then add your other ingredients. This emulsifies the fat so that it can be carried successfully through the contents.MaureenOn May 10, 2008, at 2:56 PM, Kandee Edge wrote: I haven't been able to successfully use coconut oil, but I do have some. I'd love more ideas of incorporating that into the diet. Every time I use it, I get frustrated. It either burns and gums up my iron skillet and the food sticks, or it hardens when it's put into a cold smoothie. I feel like I spend all day in the kitchen and still have hungry kids staring at me. Kandee Re: [ ] losing weightKandee, what phase of the diet are you in? What is a typical day of meals? Give us an idea of what you are feeding and maybe we can help you come up with some ideas...Ann MarieOn May 10, 2008, at 7:01 AM, Kandee Edge wrote:Ok, my kids need to gain weight. I need to gain weight too. As much as I liked losing it before, I've lost too much now. I read in the GAPS book that
