I got a good laugh out of Danae's post below, but I tell ya, I am SO

glad to just be on a list where there's not a bunch of moderators

HUSHing everybody, and deciding which person is not allowed to post

anymore on a particular subject. That galls me to no end!

Y'all can nitpick and act childish all you want, and I'll just delete

those posts.

Most other groups, you either have some delicate, untouchable ego

that just can't bear to be disagreed with on THEIR list (after all,

they " own " it...) so they ban you at the first sign of not kissing

their a*s, or like the one that's bothering me most lately, there's a

team of moderators, and anytime a controversial discussion comes up,

somebody whines to the moderators, and they start telling people that

they shouldn't be talking about it. They would eventually stop talking

about it, anyway, even without all the hovering. All that hovering

does is to make people feel more and more like they shouldn't talk

about *anything*.

Very rare to find a list where the " owner " is present enough to keep

the spam out, and mature and stable enough to let people be people, in

all their human glory. Works much better in the end!
