Guest guest Posted March 21, 2008 Report Share Posted March 21, 2008 elena... interesting about the pregnancy element. of course your husband didn't get pregnant as far as physically himself, so makes sense his body wouldn't crave meat as yours does. meat would perhaps pull one more into the physical in a way, so perhaps that is the less 'sattvic' experience you are having. someone mentioned this discussion going under 'religion' which i am not sure i would agree given that we are talking more about the body and food and cravings/needs vs. a religious 'should'. i would think it would apply to mystics and contemplative types as well, so perhaps it fits from that view, however, i guess i think of 'religion' as a box that i am reluctant to put on this conversation given that it can be confining and were the thread labeled religion, at least for me personally it brings up thoughts of dogmatic rules vs. experience/exploration. so maybe 'yogic philosophy' would be the category more than 'religion'? -d --------------------------------- Never miss a thing.
