Guest guest
We don't compensate them for supervising PTA's. We consider that part of their job duties. Carol Rehder, PT Manager, Physical Therapy Genesis Medical Center rehder@genesis@... >>> " Steve " 8/8/2008 10:47 AM >>> I am curious to know how others out there compensate their PT's for their time spent supervising PTA's. Is it monetary or through reduced productivity requirements? I'm very interested in proposing a most fair and equitable amount for my therapists and would like to have more research behind my numbers. I know it is not supposed to be a " numbers game " but in the case that it can help my therapists do a good job and be pleased I think it is worth addressing. I would appreciate any feedback that anyone can offer. Guest guest
We give no compensation or reduction in productivity. Supervision and delgation are inherent in the PT job description. Guest guest
Your question is confusing. A PT is compensated based on many factors but I have never used supervision of a PTA as one of them, that comes with the turf. PTA's are utilized to allow extension of a PT's skills. Volume increase to some extent is expected when adding a PTA into a PT team. Ron Barbato PT Administrative Director, Rehabilitation Services Ephraim McDowell Health Voice: Fax: rbarbato@...
